Desjardins Insurance supports MSB Public School’s Breakfast Program via $5,000 GoodSpark Community Grant

“By far one of my best days this year” says Robyn King of Desjardin Insurance Milton.

“I was honoured and grateful to be able to help serve and donate with the breakfast program this morning at McKenzie-Smith Bennett Public School and give them a $5000 cheque to their Breakfast Program via Halton Food for Thought.”

“About a year ago Gwen Artun filled me in on the program at MSB. I didn’t even know that it existed prior, and this is something very near and dear to my heart. So, thank you for letting me be a part of this.  Gwen & Shanna Maltby are amazing ladies with huge hearts who put a lot of love and effort into the MSB Breakfast Program that provides breakfast and smiles to kids that need it.”  The HFFT partner program feeds 250+ kids each Wednesday – WOW!

“If you have a couple of dollars to donate or an hour on Wednesday mornings to come in and help out…that would be amazing. No contribution is too small! I’m still smiling!“

Desjardins Insurance is providing over $271,000 in grants to 76 community organizations in Alberta, Ontario and New Brunswick through the GoodSpark Community Grants Program. Each of the grants includes a donation from a local Desjardins Agent. The Agents were invited to nominate organizations that are important to them and their communities.

“I am honoured to help select and contribute to the grant provided to the MSB Breakfast Program. The GoodSpark Community Grants aim to ‘spark good’ by giving a helping hand to those who need it most.”
