In partnership with the community, Halton Food for Thought feeds students, via Student Nutrition Programs healthy food so they can succeed.
Our annual fundraising event – The Breakfast Bash (formerly Annual Spring Breakfast Gala) Friday May 3rd, 2019 helps us raise funding needed to ensure our programs remain strong and sustainable.
Dollars raised will also help us achieve our vision of a Halton region where “no student goes hungry at school” by allowing us to expand our reach to students in Halton schools who currently do not have a nutritious school food program.
Right now, in Halton, 10% of our kids go to school hungry and 34% of kindergarten kids are overweight or obese. We need to play our part to ensure these kids get the healthy food they require and get the message about eating healthy.
Our goal is to raise $68,000 this year which at $0.50 per day for a healthy breakfast, will feed a lot of children.
Guests will be treated to a Breakfast Marketplace, stories of inspiration, Raffle Prizes, Auction Items and MUCH MORE!
Become a Breakfast Bash Sponsor, join our Restaurant Marketplace Vendors or Donate an item for our Auction / Raffle Table
We believe that when given access to healthy food, every student has their best chance to achieve success, both personally and academically.
