Grab & Go / Breakfast Cart requires student to eat their nutritious food before class or during announcements

Buffet Style or

Sit Down Meal

Offered before the bell rings.

Sit Down / Buffet Style requires seating in a communal area.

Class Tray or

Morning Meal Cart

Accessible during morning nutrition break / recess or before 12pm.

Students eat in classrooms.

Healthy Bin

The rules may vary from school to school, however classroom bins are normally accessed before class or during nutrition breaks by students who need some extra nourishment.

Students eat in classrooms

Minimum of two food groups with one always being a fresh fruit/vegetable. Also offers healthy, non-perishable packaged items.

Bin Station

The rules may vary from school to school, however bin stations are accessible all day- before, during breaks or as needed.

Bin stations are located in key areas around the school i.e. office, student success room, gym, common rooms.

Students eat outside of classrooms in appropriate spaces around the school

In addition to Classroom Bin contents, Bin Stations may also include access to a refrigerator allowing cheese and yogurt to be offered.
