Sweets From the Earth offers compliant baked goods and fundraising options for Student Nutrition Programs.

Love those muffins through OSNS? They came from Sweets from the Earth, a Toronto bakery that offers a wide variety of delicious baked goods that are both Student Nutrition Program and Ontario School Food and Beverage (PPM 150) compliant. Sweets from the Earth also offers Simple Fundraise, an innovative, fundraising campaign platform that helps schools raise funds through sales of SFTE baked goods.

In 16 years, Sweets from the Earth has grown from a small, one-person operation consisting only of founder Ilana Kadonoff to a HACCP & vegan certified multi-facility bakery serving stores, foodservice, airlines, cafes, restaurants and schools! Sweets from the Earth products “are all crafted without the use of refined sugars or artificial flavours/colours. SFTE products are all natural, vegan, cholesterol free, lactose free, non-hydrogenated, low in saturated fat, non-GMO and kosher.” SFTE is in the process of completing their halal certification.

As part of their support of Student Nutrition Programs, Marc Kadonoff from Sweets from the Earth hosted a tour on August 15 for Food & Logistic Coordinators from various Student Nutrition Ontario regions. FLCs visited a DAIRY, EGG, SESAME, PEANUT & TREE NUT FREE facility able to create a line of original recipe products “using only the finest 100% plant based ingredients.” FLCs were amazed to see a bank of ovens resembling elevators that Ilana can program from anywhere in the world, a research and development kitchen, and a flexible production line that allows SFTE to produce small, handmade batches specific to orders.

Sweets from the Earth also believes in supporting their local and greater community and has created a website to streamline fundraising campaigns. Visit the Simple Fundraise website to learn more about offering delicious SFTE products to your school community while raising much needed funds for student nutrition programs at your school.
