Healthy Basket Program

A basket of fresh fruit and healthy non-perishable food items are placed in every classroom or at stations throughout a school.

The rules may vary from school to school, but foods in the baskets may be accessed at any time by students who need some extra nourishment. This is a good way to reach an entire school population.

All basket programs must serve a minimum of 2 food groups that include one serving of fruits and vegetables.
