In partnership with our community, we feed students healthy food so that they can achieve academic success! Students arrive at school hungry for a variety of reasons; Halton Food for Thought and community partner Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board (OMDREB) believe in a Halton region where “no student goes hungry at school”!
Currently in Milton and Oakville, HFFT partners with 57 Elementary and High Schools across both boards of education, providing 39,000 students with access to the healthy food they might not otherwise receive during the school day.
What started as an endorsement letter to the Ontario REALTORS Care Foundation (ORCF) grant in 2016 has blossomed into so much more and we cannot thank OMDREB enough for their ongoing dedication to the success of students in the communities in which they live and work.
At OMDREB’s recent AGM Halton Food for Thought was presented with a cheque for $16,400 to support Student Nutrition Programs in Oakville and Milton.
Wow – we cannot thank the team at OMDREB enough for their outpouring of support! Together we really do help ensure “no student goes hungry”!
