Halton Food for Thought invites the community to become monthly donors to support local Student Nutrition Programs.

As the new school year begins, Halton Food for Thought is inviting our community to help students start their days nourished and ready to learn. This September, we’re encouraging community members to join our Nourish and Flourish Fund by becoming monthly donors.

Your support is needed now more than ever. Over the past six years, 23 new schools have partnered with us — bringing our total to 157 schools across Halton. And the need keeps growing. More than 10 additional schools are on our waitlist, eager to offer Student Nutrition Programs for their students.

“We all know that rising food costs are a challenge for many families, and every student’s situation at home is different,” said Aliya Khawari, Executive Director of Halton Food for Thought, while speaking on the importance of Student Nutrition Programs. “Our programs play a key role at schools providing a consistent source of nutritious food each school day—no questions asked. This ensures students can nourish their bodies in a safe, welcoming environment and focus on being their best at school.”

With growth comes increased costs, and we can’t do this without you. By joining the Nourish and Flourish Fund, you’re providing a stable source of funding that allows us to sustain current and expand to new programs so every student who needs support can access it, helping us reach more students across Halton.

Our programs welcome all students, offering nutritious food to start their school day. This open and inclusive approach is proven to help students participate more fully in class, build stronger relationships with peers and perform better academically.

From just $10 a month, you can help Halton students reach their full potential. Your monthly gift fuels the future — one nutritious meal or snack at a time.

Let’s get behind our students. Join the Nourish and Flourish Fund today and help Nourish a New School Year!
