There are different ways to get involved with Halton Food for Thought, through working or volunteering with us.
Halton Food for Thought's Student Nutrition Programs are delivered in 163 partner schools across the region. This is made possible with the support of over 1,500 volunteers yearly. Volunteers are the key to delivering our programs to students, connecting them with the nutritious food they need to support their school day ahead.

Experience the joy of seeing grateful students' smiles. Enjoy preparing healthy meals and snacks, and build a sense of community. Return each school year to help students reach their full potential.

All student volunteer opportunities are coordinated directly at schools – students interested should speak to school administration to get involved.

Some of our programs can welcome small groups of individuals from the community to support their work, up to 5 people. What is most helpful for our programs is consistent group volunteering weekly throughout the year so our Program Coordinators can plan the running of the programs.
If you are not sure if you can commit to the program and would like to learn more, you can complete this form and we would be happy to discuss the opportunity with you further to ensure there is a fit
Our work and programs can provide volunteer opportunities to allow the students who use our programs be able to give back and get involved in their school community.
All student volunteer opportunities are managed directly at the school level. Please speak with your program coordinator who manages volunteer opportunities for the program.

All career opportunities are posted on our LinkedIn page, please visit there to see any open positions with the organization.
